How do I use this calculator?

What do the payment method percentages mean?

Estimate how your buyers will pay. PromptPay is cheapest (1.65%), domestic cards are mid-range (3.65% + ฿10), and international cards cost most (4.75% + ฿10). The default (60% PromptPay, 30% domestic, 10% international) is a reasonable starting point.

Why is PromptPay cheaper than cards?

PromptPay is Thailand's national payment system operated by the Bank of Thailand. Buyers scan a QR code and pay directly from their bank account. PromptPay has no flat fee per transaction (only a percentage). Card payments go through Visa or Mastercard networks, adding interchange fees and a ฿10 flat fee.

Does this calculator include taxes?

Why might my actual earnings differ from this estimate?

Accepted Answer

The calculator charges the ฿10 card fee per sale for a conservative estimate. In practice, buyers can purchase multiple items in one checkout where the fee applies only once, so your actual earnings may be higher. Payment method mixes vary per buyer, and Stripe may update its pricing. The calculator does not model discount codes, refunds, or disputes. For exact amounts after each sale, check your Stripe Dashboard.
